Hi,

Well, here I am, back from Greece and how the time flew. I had the most wonderful time and have come back convinced that Greece is indeed a wonderful place to live. I can’t believe that I was there for nearly two weeks...of course I moved from place at a fair pace and was never in one place as long as I would like to have been. Nevertheless I really did get a very good idea of what was available property-wise on the islands that I visited: Corfu, Zante and Kefallonia, plus parts of the Peloponnese and Athens.

More importantly, I have managed to make contact with people that I feel to be the kind of property professionals that we at Greece Buying Guide would be proud of recommending to you. They are all either English speaking or have a very high standard of English comprehension (here I mean for instance at degree level) and they all offer to help the people who buy through them with the whole tricky process of buying a house in a foreign land in a foreign language.

Over the next few weeks I am going to be telling you about properties I have seen, describing aspects of the islands and towns that I visited and just generally sharing my experiences with you. I now really do have a whole slew of new best friends who, between them, know most of the answers, so please do not hesitate to ask for help – that’s what we’re here for…watch this space…
